Department of Aging at 2014 JOBS1st Summit

Contact Center CEO & President Claudia Timbo spoke on a panel representing the Department of Aging at the 2014 JOBS1st Summit. The JOBS1st Summit, Building a Stronger Pennsylvania was built on Governor Tom Corbett’s efforts to align education, training and technology resources to better connect employees with employer needs. The Summit, attended by over 700, encouraged conversations and connections between leaders and innovators and examined opportunities to integrate technology, creativity and leadership into workforce development.

Claudia Timbo spoke to the mission of the Department of Aging to recognize employers who value the contribution of older workers. As the PA Department of Aging Champions of Older Workers co-winner for 2014, CompanyVoice is living the vision on a daily basis. Timbo’s remarks included a detailed account of how she has incorporated a diverse workforce into five new business launches in the past 30 years. She created a unique hiring model which utilizes older workers, Veterans and their spouses and disabled workers as operators in the contact center. Claudia Timbo credits older workers for building her businesses and enabling her to sell two contacts centers with the increased value.
