CompanyVoice Selected as “Champion of Older Workers”
CompanyVoice will be recognized as the Champion of Older Workers co-winner for 2014 by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. President and CEO, Claudia Timbo has been hiring senior workers as a business model for close to 30 years. Since 1984, the Department of Aging and its partner agencies that comprise the Hall of Fame Committee, have identified extraordinary employers of workers ages 55 and afforded the winner statewide recognition. The committee members were impressed that 71% of CompanyVoice employees are 55 years of age or older and hired for their specific business experience to be partnered with the sales force of clients in like industries. The Hall of Fame of Champions will honor Timbo’s contact center, CompanyVoice, on May 7th during the Employer Awards luncheon at the Hershey Convention Center.
“I’m committed to creating jobs for older workers,” says Timbo who has been recognized before for positive hiring practices by the Commonwealth of PA. She received state grants for providing over 300 new jobs to the area. Claudia collaborates with The Carney Group to recruit senior citizens, Veterans, and disabled employees. She also partnered with federal agencies to obtain special equipment for employees with disabilities and remains a champion for diversity in her workforce. CompanyVoice, founded in 2013, is Claudia Timbo’s 5th successful business venture in the TeleServices arena and holds the NWBOC, National NWBOC National Women Business Owners Corporation, designation.
